Tour description
This Nordic walking route leads from Riezlern out of the valley towards Schwende. From there, it continues along the Breitach river in the valley floor, past the Waldhaus, until the footpath branches off to the left. Here, the circular route leads up towards Schmalzloch and Straußberg. The hamlet of Straußberg is extremely tranquil and located away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The tour leads through the quiet Riezler districts of Außerschwende and Innerschwende to the Mahdtal valley. Passing the Mahdtalhaus, it descends to the Breitach river and crosses the bridge to the Riezler district of Egg. From there, it descends steeply and, after a short, steep climb, returns to Riezlern.Best season
