Sulfur source - bracelets
If you take the Breitachweg to Riezlern after the Leidtobel bridge, you will reach the old sulfur spring in about ten minutes.
"Mineral Spring Höll" is the place where a well and resting benches are located. Several hundred years ago, the Walser people already fetched this water. The healing effects against rheumatism, respiratory diseases, and circulatory problems were certainly known to them. The village of Baad also had such a spring, which dried up around 1860. The sulfur spring "In der Höll" was re-capped in 1966, and a scientific report was commissioned from the University of Freiburg. This report refers to a so-called cold sulfur spring. The water emerges from a niche in the flysch rock and is bacteriologically flawless. The smell of hydrogen sulfide is distinctly noticeable. And since it is also said to smell like sulfur in hell, the Walser named this healing spring at the Breitach "in der Höll."
