steinbockloipe nordic lounge & Moonlight Cross-Country Skiing

At Bernhard’s Gemstel Hock, the Nordic Lounge becomes the place to be for your cross-country skiing break from Wednesday through Friday. The Steinbockloipe trail offers children’s lessons as well as skating lessons for advanced and professional skiers. On Friday, the afternoon wax workshop leads into the week’s big highlight: group cross-country skiing by moonlight.

schwendeloipe history & FAMILY TIME

At the Schwendeloipe, you’ll discover just how much history there is in cross-country skiing. At an exhibition at the Alpengasthof Hörnlepass, historical photos and a presentation will give you insights into winters of the past. On the trail, you’ll get your first taste of skating, while children get active in their classes and on the Burmi kids’ course. On Saturday, the Family Special is one of the highlights:

On the Schwarzwasserloipe, the course program focuses on the classic technique. Whether you're just starting out, getting back into it, or want to work on the finer points, you'll find a course here that matches your skill level.

Whether you’re trying cross-country skiing for the first time, getting back into it after a break, or want to work on the finer points of your technique: In our two-hour group classes, you’ll find the right option for your skill level. Gain confidence for your first runs, solidify your fundamentals, or specifically improve your form. The courses in classic and skating techniques are spread across all three trails. There are separate courses for your child: Kids ages 7 to 13 can discover cross-country skiing together with peers, divided into beginner and advanced groups.

When darkness falls in the Kleinwalsertal, a special cross-country skiing evening awaits you on the Steinbockloipe trail. Headlamps and torches light the way as you ski together.

Come by this afternoon: At the waxing workshop, you’ll get tips on how to care for your cross-country skis. Featured exhibitors and a snow groomer round out the program before the Moonlight Cross-Country Skiing event begins.

HIT THE CROSS-COUNTRY TRAIL WITH BURMI familySPECIAL

At the Family Special on the Schwendeloipe, you can enjoy a winter day together centered around cross-country skiing. Young cross-country skiing fans can try their hand at the Burmi Kids’ Course. There’s also live music and an introduction to biathlon. If you’d like to learn more about the area’s history, join the guided tour of the historical collection.
